First announced last January 2008 at CES in Las Vegas, its first initial release date was last April 2008. The V1 distinguishes itself by replacing buttons with voice commands, bring simplicity to a normally complicated genre.
BlueAnt has scrapped the myriad of button combinations normally needed to activate headset functions and replaced them with the BlueGenie Voice Interface from Sensory, Inc.
Using the BlueGenie Voice Interface from Sensory, Inc., the BlueAnt V1 allows users to easily control their headset with voice commands rather than pressing multiple buttons or even looking at the phone. Unlike other headsets that only support voice dial capabilities through q mobile phone’s voice features, the V1’s voice control is embedded in the headset itself. Beyond voice dial capabilities, the V1 enables the user to control all headset features such as pairing, volume and connection status using only their voice.
The V1 supports such commands as ‘Pair Me,’, ‘Redial,’ ‘Call Back,’ ‘Answer/Ignore Call,’ and ‘Call GOOG-411.’ Users can even ask the V1, “What can I say?” and the headset will verbally list all features available on the device. And say ‘Teach Me’ and the device will talk users through its functions.
The BlueAnt V1 is the first standalone headset on the market to incorporate the Bluetooth version 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate specification.
“The V1 is by far the most advanced headset on the market today with the superior sound quality and wearability you expect from BlueAnt, enhanced by new and unique voice control capabilities.
The intuitive voice interface not only appeals to technology power users, but also first-time Bluetooth headset users looking for a simple yet effective hands-free solution.”, BlueAnt CEO, Taisen Maddern said.
Like the Z9, the V1 incorporates dual microphones which allow background noise to be filtered via BlueAnt’s patented Voice Isolation Technology™, a proprietary Digital Signal Processor (DSP) software solution.
Using advanced techniques to separate the user’s voice signal from all other sounds, the Voice Isolation Technology™ enhance the voice and remove external noise coming into and out of the headset.
The result is outstanding environmental noise reduction, echo cancellation and wind noise protection.
Sensory Inc.’s CEO, Todd Mozer says, “BlueAnt is a true innovator in this industry and we are happy to see our BlueGenie Voice Interface technology introduced to consumers in this cutting-edge Bluetooth headset.
We expect users to embrace the voice interface of the V1 as an intuitive and much easier and safer means of interacting with a headset, allowing the user to not only go hands-free but also eyes-free in the car.”
The BlueAnt V1 weighs about .35 ounces without the ear hook and offers to its user up to 5 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.

The BlueAnt V1 Bluetooth headset offers a range of advanced specifications making it the most innovative Bluetooth headset on the market today. Its features include:

– Voice control, using the BlueGenie Voice Interface

– Dual microphones enable crystal clear communication in the noisiest of environments

– Voice Isolation Technology™ for extreme noise, wind and echo cancellation

– Firmware upgradeable via USB connector

– Three charging options - car, phone & USB chargers

– Pairs with up to 8 Bluetooth devices

– Comply™ Foam Tips and a variety of different sized rubber ear gels

– Small and lightweight, less than .35 ounces without the ear hook

– Innovative tie clip for attaching to shirt or cuff, when not in use

– Up to 5 hrs talk-time or 200 hrs standby

– Bluetooth v2.1 for simplified pairing

Today we are going to focus on one particular bluetooth headset from Motorola, namely Motorola H800 Bluetooth headset, which stands out with its interesting sliding design. The device is equipped with a sliding mechanism, similar to that of Nokia’s BH-900 and Jabra’s BT5010, the only difference being that the mic, together with the sliding part it is fitted on, are released by a button and open automatically.
This is an interesting solution which, apart from making the phone look more attractive, also makes the turning on and off of the headset easier.
The dimensions and the length of the Motorola H800 Slider Bluetooth Headset (60/68 x 27 x 22 mm), vary because the mic is fitted on a slider, which opens and closes, thus switching on and off the handsfree. It weighs 17 grams, which makes it one of the heavier and larger devices on the market. Apart from being an interesting designer solution, the slider reduces the distance between the mic and the mouth and therefore contributes to improving the sound quality.
Complete with Bluetooth 2.0 technology, outstanding audio and optimal comfort for extended wear. The Motorola H800 is designed to fit your style and your physique, featuring interchangeable hooks to match your ear for a snug and secure fit.
What’s more, the elevated speaker rests closer to your ear for loud, clear audio. With Bluetooth 2.0 technology, you are ensured of faster pairing, echo and noise reduction technology, the Motorola H800 ensures the only thing you’ll hear is your conversation.
There are three keys (a call key and two volume keys), and a slider lock switch. The three keys are easy to press and have a good tactile feedback. When pressing some of the volume keys, you’ll have to be careful not to press the one opposite it with your thumb.
The new iconic on/off slider lock switch is hard to slide for purpose of preventing you from locking the slider by chance. There is the light indicator to inform you of the current status of Motorola H800, showing a few different colors, depending on the phone’s status.

The headset comes in five colors: black licorice, silver quartz, dark pearl blue, fire red and silver moss.

Every kit contains the following: Motorola H800 Bluetooth headset, Travel Charger, miniUSB to Micro USB Adapter and Quick Start Guide.

Motorola H800 Bluetooth headset price range from $25.95 - $38.99.

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows computers, phones and other devices to talk to each other over short distances (up to 100 meters). Bluetooth uses radio waves (in the 2.4 Gigahertz range), and is designed to be a secure and inexpensive way of connecting and exchanging information between devices without wires. Bluetooth is also another way of wireless transfer between your cell phone and your PC like sending mp3/music files, ringtones, photos to/from your mobile, exchanging business cards, sending voice from a headset to a mobile phone, and real-time satellite navigation using GPS. Most new cellular phones supports bluetooth as most wireless headsets for cellular phone uses bluetooth for connectivity. If you are using a fairly new laptop or a personal computer, it will most likely have built-in bluetooth transceiver.
However, if you have an older laptop or a personal computer, you will most likely require a bluetooth dongle (adaptor) on your PC/laptop to do this type of transfer. A bluetooth dongle is a small add-on that you can plug into a USB port; which will then allow you to send and receive files via bluetooth from you PC to a bluetooth enabled device (in our case, a cell phone).
Once you set up a bluetooth connection between your cell phone and your computer, you will need to download the ringtone to your PC first.
Then, you can transfer the ringtone to your cell phone using the bluetooth connection between your PC and your cell phone.
If your cell phone is already equipped with bluetooth and your PC or laptop is so-equipped, you can follow those easy steps to transfer ringtones:

# Select the ringtone from your fave sites that you would like to download to your cell phone. Most formats of ringtone are MP3 or MIDI.

# Instead of clicking “Download it”, right-click the “Listen” link and select “Save As” to save that free ringtone to your PC’s hard drive.

# Following your cell phone’s owner’s manual instructions, connect your PC to your cell phone using bluetooth.

# Using the bluetooth software on your PC, browse and find a folder on your cell phone where you would like to send and store your new ringtone (this is usually in the folder Sounds or Files)

Suddenly your phone rings and it’s your boss asking for your days reports.
Knowing you are wearing Aliph-Jawbone, you are confident that he receives your reports loud and clear.
Aliph the maker of the original Jawbone wired headset, unveil their latest version fitted with Bluetooth technology.
Aliph first developed Jawbone after conducting research for Darpa, the U.S. Defense Department’s research arm.
The goal of Aliph was to create a mobile phone headset capable of erasing background noise surrounding the wearer so the person on the other line hears only the conversation.

And they did! The Aliph-Jawbone Bluetooth!

For your info, the headset is touted to be the most advanced Bluetooth headset in the market today. The Aliph Jawbone utilizes Noise Shield, a military-grade technology that eliminates background noise. In addition, it is said to improve sound quality by seamlessly analyzing and adjusting microphone and earpiece performance throughout the call.
If the noise cancellation on Jawbone is good enough for the military, imagine how well it should perform under normal everyday conditions.
And imagine yourself owning one of this most popular, military-grade Aliph Jawbone.

And the best thing about it, it is a perfect partner for blackberry, iphone and most cellphones.

The Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset is priced at $119 each.
